Information on london underground disused station tours??

Im looking to arrange a trip for my grandad as i have heard that occasionally it is possible to view old and disused underground stations. However i cant seem to find anything on the net about it, other than pepples accounts of when they done it. Can anyone help please?

  1. Mt understanding it that whilst LT used to do such tours, they have ceased, falling foul of the dreaded Health and Safety, Risk Assessments etc. Like so many other things the organisers are scared stiff of legal actions arising due to injury. What a society we live in. I'm surprised there's enough cotton wool to go round to wrap us all in.


  2. I'm not sure that they are done any more, at least on a regular basis, but don't let me put you off!

    Try contacting Transport for London (TfL) customer services and the London Transport Museum directly. One of these is likely to know the current situation and have details of tours.
