  1. If you've ever been around an elderly person...they begin to lose their tasting ability. I don't know why .

  2. Always close the eyes nose.

  3. hmmm well part of it has to do with the way the sense of smell and taste are directly linked

ever wonder how someone could say "this stuff tastes like 3-week old garbage" when, in fact, they have never eaten 3-week old garbage

chances are they know what it smells like.

some of it is psychological, too.

  4. Plugging your nose decreases your sense of taste dramatically. Try it and see, it's a simple experiment. Our sense of taste is 80% or more base don smell.

  5. I think it depends.

If you've already tried something, and you know you dont like the taste, then your more likely to say you dont like it.

For example, children dont like green food. Green is normally related to vegetables, and so they dont like it.

But if they'd never seen something before, and they got blind folded before eating it for the first time, they might enjoy it more because they're not expecting it to be something Green.

That might sound confusing, but try make some sense of it ;)
