Information or research on problems of texting?

Question

I am writing an oratory on the problems of texting, instant messaging, and e-mailing. I just wanted to know if anyone has any information on any of the topics. My thesis is: anynomity, devaluing of education(texting in class), and the shortening or de-evolution of the english language. And if you could, could you please cite your sources.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I know this isn't any official or researched information, but as an English teacher in a secondary school, the use of texting and instant messaging has large implications on the quality of students' writing... I get sick and tired of correcting mistakes where kids have used text speak.  However, there is a place for this form of writing... I have set students writing tasks where they have to use text speak before.
