Infront Sports & Media aim to renew FIM World Superbike Championship for 2012 – WSBK news
Infront Sports & Media has revealed that they will be renewing the image of the International Motorcycle Federation’s World Superbike Championship for the 2012 season.
Philippe Blatter, President and chief of Infront Sports and Media said, “The rebranding of the championship is one of our key priorities within the overall long-term innovation strategy for the series. With our investment in the new identity the championship
is set to being recognised as one of the top global motor sport properties.”
The main goal is to represent the championship as a new brand to the world of motorcycle racing. It will help the series to be ranked in one of the top two-wheel racing classes. The renewed image of the WSBK will create a new level of excitement for its
viewers.
President and chief of Infront Sports & Media, Paolo Flammini shared his views at the occasion and also added that the new image of WSBK will be revealed along the 25th anniversary of world championship for production bikes.
CEO of Infront Sports, Paolo Flammini said, “Passion, competition and accessibility are three key values that we continuously endeavour to communicate to our audience. The road is our origin: SBK comes from the roads, our bikes are production-derived bikes,
and our races are competitive and exciting and enable fans to identify themselves with the riders.”
According to the Flammini’s point of view, the fans of WSBK perceive a proper image of the championship which means passion, competition and accessibility.
Flammini further added that due to the reason they have chosen to further develop a relation with Chevron. It is a company familiar to the people from roads. Chevron will be a key part of the new image of the WSBK series.
The new theme and full details of the brand will be launched later in 2011, just close to the pre-season activities of the 2012 WSBK season.
A Britain-based design company named Designwerk has designed and developed the new image of WSBK. Some of the well-known clients of the company have been UEFA, FEI, Peugeot and America’s Cup.
