Ingera, does anyone have experience making their own out of teff flour?

If so, did you use a mogogo(clay plate) to bake it? And would a baker's stone work instead? Thank you and peace!

  1. you have to use a clay plate. A baker's stone will not work. I have tried it and it doesnt work

The first person is right the dough is a batter like a thick pancake and has to have a vessel with edges, I have always used a griddle for mine, I have a 10" flat stove top round griddle with sides for pancakes, it is non-stick and works fine, I alot found a lid for it to cook the top of the injeras to seal them and steam them finished.

    Here in Toronto Canada, I can buy "Teff" flour at a bulk food store, and like mine quite sourish so I let it go for 18 hours before baking, but overnight is fine.
