Ingesting 1200 mg. of caffeine in 5 minutes?

my friend told me she just took 6 pills of No-Doz (each 200mg) is this bad for her? and if she does go to the ER will the docs. be able to see that she overdosed on caffeine by blood tests?

  1. Overdose of caffeine on a single day does not have any long term effects other than issues such as jitters or raised blood pressure. It would also depend on if the person had a medical condition aggravated by the overuse of caffeine.

    People vary greatly on their sensitivity to caffeine. If I took that much caffeine, I would be all jitters and vomiting. When I've had way too much coffee it feels like my stomach, blood vessels and organs are on fire.

    By the time she went to a doctor or ER and had medical tests, I doubt if it would show that she overdosed on it. The caffeine does not stay in the system but for a few hours.
