Ingo Haspel: Bayer Leverkusen’s Andre Schurrle is not going anywhere during January
Having recently joined Bayer Leverkusen during summers, Andre Schurrle has already attracted attention of big European clubs such as Inter Milan and AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603.
The player’s agent, though, has denied the transfer speculations, revealing that Schurrle would stay put at the club this January.
The attacker has had a decent campaign so far with the Werkself and seems to have no problems at BayArena. Being a regular member of Robin Dutt’s squad, he would not want to hurt his first team chances by moving to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926.
The player’s agent, Ingo Haspel, confirmed of his client’s desire to stay in Germany rather than risking a move to Italy. Haspel also told that Schurrle is comfortable playing under Dutt and has no plans of parting ways with the Werkself.
He admitted to interest from Inter but clearly denied his client’s departure during January. The agent believes that Andre shouldn’t take a hasty decision and try cementing a career with Leverkusen.
Schurrle has so far scored one league goal from nine appearances and is due to stay at BayArena until 2016.
While talking to calciomercato.com on the player’s transfer speculation, the agent further enthused:
"I don't understand where these reports are coming from. Schurrle has a contract with Leverkusen until the summer of 2016 and has no intention of leaving the club. A future at Inter? Never say never in football. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 are a big club. However, it's only speculation
for now and I can't see it happening right now."
He also added, "I haven't talked with anyone, but I don't know whether Inter have approached [Leverkusen sporting director] Rudi Voller. I doubt that they are ready to sell though.”
The winger previously represented http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 to go along with five goals.
Andre will next be seen in action against FC Kaiserslautern on Friday, November 18.
