Ingredients you can add in rice

I only have a microwave to cook and seeing tat I love rice, I'd love to have it everyday.

Last night i added some peas, onions, egg and ham to it

what else can i add? Also what are some very quick microwave recipes?

  1. If you want a dessert you can add some milk and sugar.  Even a little 1/2 and 1/2 or coffee creamer if you have it to thicken it up.  Add sugar to taste and even a dash of cinnamon.  I love my sweet rice!! Yum!


  2. try putting in some soysauce and some veges.

    or some nice seafood like prawns or squid.

    with some Asian style sauce.


  3. many things u can add into ur rice. If u wanna make it spicy, u can add spices into it. Or u can use milk and water to cook it, it taste good. Put some mixed fruit or herbs...

    In malaysia, this is the recipe to make "nasi lemak".

    Rice, coconut milk(as how much water we need), a pinch of salt and sugar. a lil amount of ginger.

    Cook alltogether, and when it is ready, juz' eat with roasted chicken and sauce or whatever u like... U should come to malaysia to eat many kind of rice. We have "briani rice, nasi kerabu, rain forest rice' and many more.

  7. My fav way to eat rice is to add a little butter, shredded cheese and microwave it. Sprinkle on a tiny bit of salt. Sooo good.

    I haven't had it this way in ages but when I was little I satyed at a friends house and I didn't want my rice so her dad put on a little bit of butter and then a light sprinkle of brown sugar. I remember it being very good.

    Any veggies or seaonngs really go well with rice. Another fav way to eat it lately is to have jasmine rice, pine nuts and chopped green onions added imediatly as soon as it is done. So good.

    Try adding a little crumbled bacon, and onion.

    Butter and parmesan cheese.

    Melt in a few cubes of velveeta or a slice of american cheese if you like that stuff with a little cream cheese and mixed veggies.

    There is the obvious soy sauce and that is also good. Try a little honey, butter, soy, and terriyaki with fresh ginger all melted together. It would make a kind of dessert recipe.
