  1. How on earth did you get ingrowing toe-nails at the age of 16?

  2. You should go back to your chiropodist and have them removed again and hopefully they won't grow back this time. They will  just end up causing more misery to you the longer you put it off.

  3. to get rid of it.. cut a small "V" in the front of your big toe. you've probably had ingrown toenails because you cut them too short of round off the edges when you cut them...

  4. Last time you obviously only had a partial nail removal. A proper treatment removes the nail matrix (partial or total) to stop it growing back or to slim the nail width.

Don't let a general doctor do this, see a podiatrist.

  5. Mate I feel your pain, I even tried to perform surgery on myself once before getting the sides of the nails removed by a chiropodist. One of them did grow back, but I had the surgery again and that time the killing off of the side of the nail bed worked. I think that's all you really can do, have them chopped out again.

Pluck up your courage, go to a specialist. In their line of work, they will have seen much worse! I had years of misery before I got them sorted, and now they don't bother me at all.

  6. Try applying Tea Tree oil several times a day and/or see a podiatrist or chiropodist.
