Guardiola will be leaving the Catalan club after the Copa del Rey fixture against Bilbao as Tito will take over La Blaugrana but Iniesta believes the new coach is not another Guardiola.
This season has seen Barcelona go through a lot. Not only did they lose their Spanish La Liga crown; in fact, they also lost their European title along with their coach, Josep Guardiola.
The Catalan mentor announced in April that he will be stepping down as the first team coach of Barcelona after the season ends.
Guardiola, without a doubt, is the best coach in the history of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, helping them win 13 trophies during his tutelage of 4 years.
With Guardiola departing from the Nou Camp, it was revealed that his assistant coach, Tito Vilanova, will be the new head coach for La Blaugrana.
While most of the Barcelona players believe that things will not change a bit after Guardiola’s departure and Tito’s arrival, Andres Iniesta thinks otherwise.
The Spanish midfield maestro recently claimed that even though Tito is a great person and everyone in the team likes him, he is still not another Guardiola.
While talking about Vilanova during a press conference, Andres Iniesta said:
"Now it's his chance, but we cannot pretend that he is another Guardiola. Each coach has his own style and characteristics.
"We cannot expect him to repeat the treble in his first year. All players just have to be on his side, support him and help him."
This season Barcelona have only managed to win the FIFA Club World Cup. However, a chance of getting their hands on the Copa del Rey trophy still awaits as La Blaugrana take on the challenge of Athletic Bilbao on 25th May.
While speaking about the game against Bilbao and how it is going to be Josep Guardiola’s last game for Barcelona, Iniesta said:
"The dressing room's opinion of Guardiola - and vice versa - will not change whether we win or lose, because our feelings toward one another are already clear. But, certainly, we want Guardiola to go out with a smile."
Barcelona take on the challenge of Bilbao on May 25th and will be without the services of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carles-Puyol-c8331 and Eric Abidal during this fixture.
