Spanish International, Andres Iniesta, expressed the hope that Pep Guardiola will remain as the head of affairs at the Camp Nou.
The midfield maestro commented that he would love to see Guardiola renew his contract with the current Spanish Champions. Iniesta stated his desire to watch the Spanish tactician remain at the helm of La Blaugrana.
Pep Guardiola’s current contract with the UEFA Champions League title holders will expire at the end of the current season.
Recently several reports suggested that Pep Guardiola will leave the Catalan capital and move to a different club after the expiry of his contract with Barca. Such reports and speculations gained momentum when the 41-year-old chose to delay his decision
to renew his current contract with the Spanish Giants.
Guardiola was also reported to have told that he was more comfortable working under a short-term contract.

The Spaniard has denied all such reports and speculation; however, he has not made his intentions known and there is bit of uncertainty about the future of the 41-year-old.
Barcelona president, Sandro Rosell, has allowed Guardiola time to make his decision.
Regardless of what decision the Catalan coach makes, Iniesta has joined the group of players who are urging the mentor to stay at the Nou Camp.

"I hope that he renews and that he stays with us for a long time. He has to decide and he knows that the team wants him to stay. That’s everyone’s wish. Guardiola is eager. We have a lot of beautiful things still yet to see.
Iniesta then went on to discuss La Blaugrana’s current position in the league and has conceded that the Catalans will require Real Madrid to slip in order to regain momentum in the race for the Spanish title.
"We always try to offer up a good performance. The truth is that we have to keep on winning three points each game and hope that Real Madrid falter. The team need to play like this to aspire to the three titles," he added.
At the moment, the Spanish Champions are 10 points behind Real Madrid in La Liga points table.
