Tito Vilanova will be in charge of affairs at the Nou Camp and Andres Iniesta believes that even though Guardiola is leaving, he wants to continue on the same path with the new coach.
This season Barcelona lost their chance of winning a fourth consecutive Spanish La Liga, and a second successive UEFA Champions League.
It was definitely not a year to remember for the mighty http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, who were being hailed as the best team in not only the world, but in the history of the game.
The Catalan giants are now going to be without their legendary coach, Josep Guardiola, who has helped them win 13 trophies under his 4-year reign.
The Catalan mentor announced in April that he will be leaving the Catalan club in the upcoming summer, adding that he needs rest from football and wants to do nothing for at least a year.
Before leaving the Nou Camp, Josep Guardiola has one more task ahead of him. The Barcelona coach, who actually made the new ‘dream team’, will be facing Athletic Bilbao in the final of the Copa del Rey.
Barcelona are currently the favourites to win this tie and all the players are hungry for silverware as they did not taste much of it this season.
Andres Iniesta recently addressed the press and said that the players understand how Guardiola is now going to leave, but he stressed that he wants to continue on the same path, with or without Josep Guardiola.
The Spanish midfield maestro, who also scored the winning goal for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 during the 2010 FIFA World Cup, said that even without Guardiola, Tito will be the one to guide them through more success.
Iniesta said:
“After the Copa del Rey final a new time starts, without Guardiola and with Tito.”
“It would be wrong to believe Tito is going to win the league, the Champions League and other titles on his own.”
“We the players have to be more convinced than ever that we are going to get things done and done well, following the same path we have followed so far.”
Barcelona will face Bilbao on 25th May and both the teams are hungry for silverware and want to win a title on the last day of the season.
