  1. When a gecko is injured it should be separated from other geckos in a tank without any substrate, it should be left on white paper towel and provided a hide cave. This insures the area doesn't get impacted with dirt. He will heal on his own, you don't need to do anything. I wouldn't even recommend neosporin. He could possibly ingest in. Good luck!<b>

Jonas, it is not "natural" for a geckos tail to fall off and its not "Supposed to fall off". When they drop their tails its because they are scared. When scared, they drop their tails so the remaining tail stays behind wiggling so the predators will catch the tail instead. Its self preservation. But a gecko's tail is a necessity. They need their tail to store fat. Without their tail they can't store the necessary fat they require. So to lose a tail is not "natural" or "supposed to happen".

  2. Separate them, put some neosporin on the nub until it heals. Feed some fatty foods such as wax worms along with the usual food and plenty of calcium. She'll be fine, but I wouldn't house either of them with another gecko again.

  3. Definitely keep them separated until the tail is fully healed. It doesn't look like it got in a fight, it looks like it fell off. don't listen to a few of the people who've answered, PLEASE. Do NOT put neosporin on it! That is a chemical that geckos don't have in nature, and it really doesn't belong on your gecko. keep the cage nice and clean, remove f***s as soon as possible. Keep the water fresh too.  Also, one girl said that it's normal for the tails to fall off. that is only partly true. They CAN fall off, but they certainly aren't supposed to. They only get dropped if they are GREATLY threatened. it really looks like the tail fell off, and it's not like leopard geckos have teeth to chew off a tail... it should grow back in time. I recommend you send that photo to an exotic animal vet and ask their opinion about care options. Generally, they don't need vet care for a fallen tail, and if you keep the cage and water clean and feed your pet a LOT of food, it will recover nicely.

  4. just be very gentle with it but it will grow back just not as big. don't worry i'm positive that the gecko will be back to normal in no time. just don't handle it too much you might hurt it .

  5. hi, it will grow back but it will be a bit mootley and shorter, this is nature.

  6. hi ive experienced this b4 and this will work put neosporin on 4 5 days and by the next week it should be close from being bak but ut wont look normal

  7. My sister had a geko, its natural for their tails to fall off, my sister was totally creeped out, but its supposed to fall off, ot grows back and it will be fine=]
