Injured toad??????

Question

me and my friend was playn bball earlier wen a guy driving down our road extremely fast and he tossed a toad out the window!i have many other types of animals such as box turtles anoles skinks treefrogs painted turtles cave salamnders but other than fire bellid toads idk how to care for this toad ive looked at toads native to kentucky and its either a fowlers toad or american toad but its greenish i mean it has a lite green tint to it which is not common in either speceis but anyways the guy that threw it out broke its left front leg cuZ it cant hop nor walk right and it was wat it sounded like was chirping so i decided to nurse it back to health so i need to know all i can wat do they eat and etc so i can give him a nice home till hes better and i can release him

All toads chirp...well commen toads, but try and take the lil toad to the vet if he has a broken leg. And just feed him live bugs,there was this one toad that lived in my yard that I could just walk up 2 and pet and I used to give him grasshoppers and worms whenever I got the chance 2.....

Well if you are telling the truth you should call your vet. If your vet does'nt treat exotic pets ask her to recomend a exotic vet. They could tell you what kind of frog it is. You won't be able to care for its certain needs until you find it's breed out. You wont be able to nurse him back to help without the help of a vet, so please call your vet first thing tommrow morning. Also, you will not be able to release him. It's bones proberly will never be the same and it will be easy for preditors to hunt him. He may also forget how to hunt. Well, till you can call your vet, feed him crickets. You should have some on hand because that is what you should be feeding your other pets. Keep him in a 5-10 gallon tank ( or whatever you have on hand) put some pebbles on the bottom and a water dish. DONT put him in with your other animals they may eat him or he might have a diease. Take good care of him and PLEASE call your vet it is very important!!! Good luck let us know how it goes.

i hate toads dude, wen i see them i kick them into walls they go splat!! haha..um..i dont think creatures God used as plagues should be kept as pets, they shouldnt even be associated with us
