Sunday night at work I was pulling a cart onto salesfloor w/merchandise on it.I went to stop it and the wheel on cart ran my toe over.Thinking I just bruised it like I usally do,I didnt pay any attention.all thru night the toe was throbbing and it felt mushy..So last break I took shoe off to relief pressure and pain..Everyone kept telling me to check the toe cause you never know.So I slowly took sock off and seen that the whole cuticle(whole toe where you put fingernail polish on) was almost all the way off except it is hanging by a few pieces of flesh..After I've been soaking it w/epsom salt and keeping it wrapped is there a such thing as it reattaching somehow and growing back? cause when I did the damage it was all loose and now it looks like its normal.I tried carefully to pry it open to it will fall off and not get infected..please help!! thank you

  1. well... I work in an urgent care and what you've done for it is fine, you should seek out medical attention to have the doctor put you on antibiotics ie Keflex or some equivalent.

  2. just leave it alone, put neosporin on it once or twice a day to help prevent infection, the nail will probably fall off, but a new one will grow. even if its broken there not much you can do for your toe but let it heel on its own :(

  3. DITTO THE ANSWER OF LEAVE ALONE IT WILL COME BACK,USE OINTMENT
