Injuries continue to bother St. Louis Rams – NFL News
Troubled already by the stained record they have had this season, St. Louis Rams are being tormented by their players’ injuries; something that they have suffered throughout the season.
The recent cause of worry for the Rams is the respective injuries of quarterback Sam Bradford and defensive end Chris Long. Rams’ coach Steve Spagnuolo informed that both of the players were ‘very sore’.
“Both of those two guys are really sore. That’s to be expected with ankle injuries,” the coach said.
Entering the last week game against Seattle Seahawks, Bradford was already not hundred per cent fit. Despite that, he played the game in which his team was defeated.
Rams are going to face Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday. The coach said that he did not know how much severe Bradford’s injury was, but assured that the quarterback will be rested if he does not feel like playing.
“I know he’s sore, I can tell you that. You come off a night game, you get on the flight, today is a day we fully expected he’d be sore. The question is how sore and how quickly (he’ll recover).”
The coach was of the view that it is not easy to play while you are injured. He praised Bradford for playing against Seahawks, and said that it is the toughest task to play at the quarterback position when you are injured.
“There are a lot of guys around the league, our team included, that are playing hurt,” Spagnuolo said. “It’s tough at the quarterback position. The position is hard enough when you are fully healthy. But I think it’s a struggle.
It’s another challenge to overcome.”
Meanwhile, tackle Mark LeVoir who is suffering from a groin injury has not yet received a green signal from the management and his status for the next game is questionable. Also, cornerback Josh Gordy is out due to oblique strain
and he, like LeVoir, is doubtful against Bengals.
That is not it. There are some other players who sustained injuries last week and their status is not clear. They include safety Craig Dahl (ankle), tight end Stephen Spach (head injury) and defensive end James Hall (pectoral).
Rams have lost 11 games this season and are placed at the bottom of the National Football Conference West division.
