  1. Get a lawyer and don't settle with the insurance company until you are pretty much healed (although you must file a lawsuit within 2 years in most states), as I said before meet with a lawyer & discuss it. Usually insurance companies (no matter what company it is) will drag a settlement out as long as they can so that you will get frustrated and take whatever they want to give you (which is usually not enough) or get to the point that you can't file a lawsuit.  You should sue/settle for all the medical bills associated with the accident, vehicle damage invoices, lost wages for days you missed by not working (actual damages) and then multiply that amount by 3 to get the amount to sue for punitive damages.

  2. You sustained a soft tissue injury.  Aside from that have you missed any time from work?

Your case will be evaluated once you have stopped treating.  The adjuster will evaluate it based on the nature and extent of your injury, your disability(total and partial), treatment.  I doubt you will have any permanency.  If YOUR medicals have not been paid for, then they are included in the settlement.

Yes, they are "good for it", but if the other party only had minimal limits that is all you would get.  It really does not sound that your claim would exceed compulsory limits in most states.
