Australia’s left-arm fast bowler, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c749, has said that his toe-injury last year was a ‘blessing in disguise’ as he had lost passion for the sport
prior to that.
Johnson emerged at the international level back in 2005 and since then has been an integral part of the Aussie team in all the three formats of the game. He is a wicket-taker and a genuine match-winner. However, the cricket analysts blame him for being inconsistent
as the left-arm bowler can be fantastic in one match and erratic in the other.
The 30-year-old cricketer has 394 wickets in international cricket with reasonable averages in the three versions of the sport. On top of that, he has the ability to hit the ball hard and can be very useful lower down the batting-order.
The left-arm fast bowler got injured during the tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 last year and has not played for the Kangaroos since then. Johnson revealed that he was not enjoying the game before he got injured and was uncertain about his future.
Johnson expressed, "Going into that test in Joburg, I was unsure if I could perform to be honest. It was at that point where I really just wanted to get away from the game and step back from it. The injury did come at the right time. I'd probably lost a
bit of interest in playing the game.”
The cricketer from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Queensland-c834 added that he could have considered calling it a day from international cricket, if he had not damaged his toe.
"If I didn't get the injury, if I kept going, I could have got dropped and that could have been it. That (retirement) could have been on the cards for sure,” he added.
