Inky Express gets the best odds for The Commercial Motor Trophy
Inky Express has won the best odds for The Commercial Motor Trophy at Hall Green in England on Tuesday, April 24, 2012. The winner of the 480 metres flat race will be given a cash prize of £175.
A total of five runners have been attracted towards the Grade OR event, which is scheduled to start at 19:45 GMT, and their names are as follows: Inky Express, Quivers Shimmer, Distant Midnight, Pundit Watch and Clogher Jane.
Looking at the experience of Inky Express compared to other runners, the bookmakers have awarded him with the best odds. He is a decent runner, thus the punters might also place the maximum number of bets in his favour.
The S. Buckland’s trained hound is well aware of the conditions at Hall Green, but performing in this class will not be an easy task for him. He has been doing well at other levels and has got pretty decent speed.
However, the black dog was unable to make an impression in his most recent Grade OR event, where he finished sixth overall. He was up against some quality runners and found it hard to match their speed and stamina. He had been given a starting price of 20
to 1 and he ended up way behind the rest of the pack.
Things will be different for the race favourite hound today, as his opponents are also quite inexperienced and will find it difficult to compete in this class. Inky Express is the son of Ballymac Maeve out of Blue Appleby and was born in June 2010.
Quivers Shimmer has also won pretty decent odds for the race, as his recent performances have been quite impressive. Although he has not raced in this class before, he might attract some bets in his favour.
The M. James’ trainee ended up fourth in his most recent outing, which took some momentum away from him. He was given pretty decent odds back then, but failed to meet the expectations of everyone. He will need to push a little harder in order to fight for
victory at Hall Green.
Other than the top two favourites, Distant Midnight might also manage to compete at the front in the race.
