Question:

Inmates verses Poor?

Okay, why should we pay taxes to give inmates 3 hots and a cot, when there are people who are barely surviving, and who have not done anything wrong?

I think the govt should take the taxes for cellies, and give it to help feed, cloth, and shelter the poor people who work and pay their taxes also.

What do you all think?

  1. Ugh... pay attention to the tax laws and research the Earned Income Credit.  That's what is happening.  The poorer people who work are given money that they did not earn.  Some people or families actually make several thousand a year.    The rich are heavily taxed via several avenues.  If you overtax, they will refuse to spend and people will loose jobs.

We must continue to pay for the "3 hots and a cot" because the state or federal prison system takes over control with them as if they were children.  In such cases, taxpayers must provide such basics or loose big in a civil lawsuit.

  2. then that would be considered 'cruel and unusual punishment.'

  3. I wouldn't mind making a large portion of California a federal exile area where criminals could be given a survival knife, 3 mre's and best wishes in making his own way since he can't live in our society.

  4. and what happens to the inmates where do they go ?

  5. Yes! What gets me, is someone just coming out and saying that they killed someone, telling it out in details how they killed someone, and then just getting life or a few years! They should fry their asses, right after their Court date! Another thing, when a fight breaks out, they should just throw in a box of knives, and let them go for it! The last man standing WINS!
