  1. This is a question for your director. The question is very global so it is difficult to answer specifically. What disabilities are we talking about, or what chronic illnesses. Is there a school policy for health and safety? Such as for chronic asthma or allergies. What cleaning chemicals are used, no peanut butter (if any child has an allergy) these things would have to be addressed first. Then as far as participation, what would you do with this child if he/she were your own and you had other children?? Do they need a SEIT or other therapist to come in and work with them. Depending on the age this would be handled through  the Early Intervention Program or Board of Ed -CPSE.

    Hope this helps

  2. Do your best and ask the parents.  I'm sure they would be grateful for your questions because that shows you are attempting to include the child.

here's a website that might help

    http://www.pitc.org/

  3. Organise to meet the family and the child. Modify the program for them if they need it or give them an assistant to help.

Come up with an individual plan for the child and make the environment accessible to them. This includes making a tactile environment (if you have a blind or vision impaired student).

Focus on their abilities rather than their disability and involve them in as much of the program as possible.
