Im really interested in buying either or Firebird, or Trans am. Been like a dream car since I was like 14. (now 20.) Im currently looking at a few different cars. One being a 98 Trans Am with the LS1 engine. It has 72,000 miles and looks sharp. T-tops and all that fun stuff. Guy is asking $5800, but he says to make him an offer. What would you guys say? Also there is a 97 firebird V6 with 98,000 miles on it. I already test drove the car, and it runs VERY nice. Sounds great. This guys is asking $4850 for it. But im sure I could talk him down some. I just want some input on these cars, since im not a Huge car guy! Thanks everyone

  1. they are too high, I would pay 3500 for the first one, 3000 for the second one, check suspension, and take them to a computer check to see if they don't have any problem, things to look for, compression, suspension, transmission, any electric problem would be very expensive to get fixed since you don't know if they had been crashed before.

  2. I don't know how good those particular cars are, but take a look on Kelly Blue Book, kbb.com

Just enter in the make, model, options, miles and condition and it should give you a good price. Without going into much thought or reasearch, those sound like good deals to me.

  3. too much money.

    times are hard

these cars will need a lot of TLC

save your money for tools or repairs.

they have a lot of them around keep looking.
