The swim team???`?

ok.... i am in eighth grade and i am close to graduation. I don't do any sports. People say that i am a great swimmer and that i should join the no-cut team in high school. At overnight camp, i always pass out of the lessons because i am good enough toknow everything. At camp, i do lake swim and always end up in 2nd or 1st out of 15 people. I am 14 years old. I have never done any competitive sport and i get really nervous when i do for some reason. Are there any other people like me that will join next year? Are there people who have NO swimming experiance that i will be better than to raise my confidance? (not 2 b mean.) I really want to do this but i have second thoughs because i don't want to be the worst. I HAVE NO OFFICIALY EXPERIANCE other than that i have been swimming all my life, just not competetively. What can i do 2 prepare? can you give me advice??? THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!!

how can i prepare myself MENTALLY and PHYSICALLY?

  1. You'll hate h**l week...

  2. Well starting high school is a great time to start doing sports if you've nver done any; I think waiting would make it harder. Go for it! It'll be fun.

  3. i im here. i started swimming when I was 14, im now 15. i started rly late but i think it was good for me........i was with 9 yr olds but i already moved up and passed 3 levels!!!!! im a sprrd swimmer by the way!!!!! u get rly good when u start late because u have more power and body strength than a 9 yr old. u start it will be rly good, its never too late!!!!!!!!! u go dude!!!!!

  4. Don't sweat it. Im sure many people feel the same anxiety as you do. Just join the team, no one there is expecting any outrageous things out of you. Join, improve your swimming, contribute to your team, and enjoy swimming throughout your high school career.

Many schools in my league have plenty of people who LEARN how to swim on the team (like.. some people could barely float, but they improved tremendously!). Imagine how much you can improve. You will be able to place 1st in that lake swim! You might even finish so early that you swim the whole thing again and you end up lapping everyone :) hahaa just kidding.

You need a sport for high school! it helps you prioritize your life, and it looks good for colleges.

And definitely consider water polo, all my friends say "once you play water polo, you start hating swim team". It's just THAT good. Haha. Youtube around for water polo, watch the videos with the most views and yeah. It's quite fun.
