Insect infested apartment and we have a 2 month old baby!

I live in Tennessee, and I've searched all over the web for help but no luck. Well, we moved into a basement apartment last fall while I was pregnant. It seemed to look good but when summer came around, we found ourselves with unwelcome house guests such as millipedes, centipedes, large and small black ants, large red ants, fleas and pill bugs. The fleas are a mystery b/c we do not own pets. Our landlady says she calls the pest control and she also said the maintenance man caulked around the air conditioner (where the pests found a porthole into our apartment). But I'm a stay at home parent and I have yet to see a pest control guy and there is still cob webs around the air conditioner where it should have been caulked. We told her last Monday to get on the ball, still no actions taken, we called her this weekend, still no actions, she said it would all be taken care of Monday (today) and still nothing. Do I have any legal rights? I cannot have my baby being bitten by fleas or red ants or centipedes (I got stung last night by a centipede actually). Can anyone tell me if I have legal rights? Perhaps to be let out of our lease early with no penalty? Anything?
