  1. Are you looking for a single fact? Or a generalization? Well for one, insects have six legs. Their skeleton is on the outside. Due to their short lifespan they evolve much faster than other creatures. They start out as a larva. Hope that helps, good luck with your badge

  2. Insects are in the Class Hexapoda. They differ from all other Classes on multiple levels.

    - They have 3 distinct body parts- head, thorax and abdomen

    - One pair of antennae or "feelers"

    -Possess compound or simple eyes

    - Usually have 6 legs (there are species that lack legs)

    - One or two pairs of wings (Some insects are wingless, ex: fleas)

    -Have complete or incomplete metamorphosis

    Good luck with your badge!
