Insects...???? help...??

Question

Yesterday there was a stranger insect on ma jumper it was about an inch and a half long about 3 centimeters wide its legs were like sticks it had a sting like a needle i was scared lol

any body no any websites i can find out wat it was or any ideas thanx

Was it "Black and Yellow", if so it was a type of female wasp but not the stinging type that are pests, if it was "green" or "black" it maybe a Female Cricket.

Hi.....I dont know if you live in USA or UK but if you live in UK....and you were picking blackberries,one of these could have hopped on your jumper.  Some have long points near the tailbut are stings.    See the links below.
