According to unconfirmed reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board chairman, Ijaz Butt had resigned from the coveted role in April this year, after the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Asif-Ali-c46457 Zardari, to
continue working until further instructions.
The 73-year-old took over as PCB chief in October 2008, after former PCB chief, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nasim-Ashraf-c78712, stepped down from the coveted role.
Butt’s three year tenure is due to end in October this year but sources claimed that he wants to take an early release and had sent a resignation to the Board Patron after World Cup, citing health issues.
The resignation is still pending with the President of Pakistan as he has not yet decided on Butt’s successor.
"At the moment Butt wants to step down but the chief patron is still to decide on his successor and they are likely to meet in August to decide the future course of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 cricket," the source said.
