Insight on A.C Milan’s major signings this summer
Italian Champions, A.C Milan, look all set to defend their crown having already made some smart moves in the transfer market. Defenders, Taye Taiwo and Philippe Mexes, have both arrived at the club on a free transfer. It seems
like a clever business from financial perspective for a team which is faced with cash problems.
Unlike past, Milan have kept one eye on the future and have brought in talented youngsters, Stephan El-Shaarawy and Alberto Paloschi too and have also added an experienced midfielder in the form of Alberto Aquilani.
Bettor.com will now look deeply on how these players will be used and what will they offer to help the Rossoneri defend their title.
Philippe Mexes
Mexes will add much needed experienced cover for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Nesta-c4735. However, the Frenchman will have to wait until October to feature for his new club, as he picked up a serious ankle injury towards the end of the
last season and was ruled out for good part of six months football.
The former A.S Roma star’s experience will be vital in the UEFA Champions League but he must keep his temper in check, as he has picked up several suspensions because of his short temperedness on the ground in the past two seasons.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Taye-Taiwo-c34728
The former Olympique Marseille man was exactly the type of player Massimiliano Allegri was looking for. Milan have struggled to find an ideal player to slot in the position since the legendary defender, Paolo Maldini retired from
the game. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luca-Antonini-c22503 has hardly impressed since joining the club in 2008.
The Nigerian international will provide much needed strength to Milan’s problematic left-side area and has the ability to score goals with his lethal left-footed strikes. The 26-year-old is also a dead ball specialist from close
range set-pieces.
Stephan El-Shaarawy
Among all the signings, the former El-Shaarawy has caught the highest attention. Before signing for Milan, hardly anybody knew about the prized midfielder but most importantly, Galliani was aware of the talent the boy possesses.
The former Genoa star played the last season in Serie B for Padova and impressed everyone with his blistering pace, clever movement and inch perfect passing. The player is considered as one for the future but given his recent performances,
it is highly expected that he might break into the first team next season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-Paloschi-c4338
Paloschi began his professional career from Milan’s youth setup, before being sold to Parma in 2008. The striker has slowly and steadily established himself as one of the best emerging talents in the country. The youngster had
a fantastic time with the Italian U-21 squad and forced the Rossoneri bosses to re-sign him this summer.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-Aquilani-c4313
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 star is exactly the type of player Allegri
was looking for to fill the void left by Andrea Pirlo. The 27-year-old struggled with injuries and form during his stint in the Premier League but had a decent 2010/11 loan season with Juventus.
Deadline day of transfer window will catch lot of excitement amongst the A.C Milan fans after the club Vice-President, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani revealed that the Mister X. will be signed towards the close of the summer transfer window.
Last season’s last minute signings, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robinho-c31382, proved to be season winning captures. The duo totaled 27 league goals amongst them and was responsible for majority of the good work done by the Rossoneri last season.
It is believed that manager, Massimiliano Allegri, has set his sights on two players rather than just one. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Riccardo-Montolivo-c31049 and Kaka are widely tipped to join the 2010/11 Serie A winners but having mentioned last season’s surprise,
anything could happen.
