Question:

Insignia, a bad TV company?

I just bought a 26" hdtv from best buy. It is an Insignia, and right after i bought it i looked on the internet and people where talking on forums about how Insignia is a bad company.

They would say how their TV broke after a short period of time, or something in that nature. Should i return my TV or are those just the unlucky people? Will my tv break too or is it going to last a decent amount of time? I am not planning on it lasting more than 5 years, but will it last at least 4 maybe?

  1. you shoulnt have a problem. you may get a few burnt pixels overtime but thats about it. i bought a RCA Proscan and i love it and it insen't no Sony or Panasonic. Its not the name brand that matters it is always the quality

  2. Insignia is 'house brand' junk! http://www.hdguru.com/your-new-disposabl...

Return it if you can and get a quality 26" 720p/1080i LCD. Top brands for both performance and reliability in this size are Panasonic and Sony. A little bit less expensive, but still very good quality is Toshiba, followed, perhaps, by Sharp and Samsung. If you can't afford one of these brands, WAIT and save up until you can. Buy cheap, buy twice.
