It came with the wall mount, when i plugged it in it looks nice but i noticed i could see what i was watching befor on the tv, so when i turned it on the pic was showing on the black screen untill the actual tv picture appeared is this normal? I hope so, other then that i think its not a bad Tv.

  1. sounds like you got a tv that was affected by burn in where an image thats stationary and displayed for long periods of time gets stuck on the tv. But if you dont notice it while watching tv i guess its not that big of a deal.

  2. EPTV?  I think you mean EDTV--enhanced definition TV.

That means it will only display 480P signals and not 720 or 1080....

That means it's a low def TV set, and you will require a SD video output on your cable or satellite box or a SD output on your terrestrial tuner if you have an antenna...

I have seen some TVs display a "retained image" from previously watched shows, but that's not a burned image...these images change as time goes by.....

Burned images never change, they stay the same exact image as time goes by....

As long as it doesn't bother your normal viewing, I wouldn't worry about it.....

  3. First off, that Sucks!!

You have Burn-in!! I've seen this on HDTV's at the Bars!! This is why LCD is SO much Better!!!!

And $500 is WAY too much for a 42 inch with Burn-in.

Second, you said 'EPTV', and that worries me, cause that sounds like EDTV. That is Standard Definition, my Friend!!

    You got Totally Ripped-Off!!

For $500, you could have purchased an Olevia 32" LCD HDTV, that is Not Only HD, but WITHOUT Burn-in!!!!

Third of all, THAT JUST SUCKS!! <:(

  4. You could have bought a HDTV LCD at the same size for not much more, so I think you might have overpaid by $50. Make him get you beer a couple of times and you'll be even.

As for the image stuck in the pixels, it goes away when you power the TV up so you're fine. Just don't hook a video game system or computer to it.

BTW, make sure you have a progressive scan DVD player, and you can use a cable or satellite HDTV STB set to 480p output with this TV for a better picture than the 480i units would provide.
