Insignia dvd player has a disk in it, but it say the there is no disk??

ive tried several disks, so that is not the problem.

is it broken???

Are they all the same kind of disc if so try a different type, try several different types as long as u don't have to buy them just to try. If u get the same result the laser in the disc player has probably gone bad. If you have had the computer apart check the cables make sure the computer is turned off of course.
