  2. Speak to your GP to first try to determine whether another condition—such as depression, anxiety, pain, use of stimulants or medications, inactivity, or poor sleep habits—is causing your insomnia, and treat the underlying cause.

You may be able to treat your insomnia with minor lifestyle changes, such as modifying your sleep environment, your schedule, or what and when you eat and drink and getting more activity.

Sleep-inducing medications can be used if other types of treatment don't work. But medication should only be used intermittently, and it is not considered the first treatment of choice for long-term insomnia.

  3. Make some moves every morning...

    Don't eat heavy meals...

Don't move so hard during bedtime...

    Make your room comfortable...

Eat junk foods before you're going to bed, it will help you relax...

Don't sleep or take a nap in the morning or afternoon...

  4. When I could not sleep and went to the doc this is what they said.  Do not do anything in your room but slep do not watch tv or read in bed when you go to bed you are there to sleep.  Do not eat before going to bed.  do everything you need to do before going to bed brush teeth drink potty  take meds lock doors etc then go to bed.to stay.
