Audrey Mestre, died Oct 14, 2002

The safety divers around her could have positioned their spare breathing regulator in the water below her chin and pressed the button that shoots some bubbles of air out. She could have "sipped" the bubbles and her lungs would have been fine, no?

  1. no, she would have had to had the regulator in her mouth, remember blaine is a illutionest, and everything he does is a trick

  2. No, any air put into her lungs at any depth would cause an Aretial Gas Embolism. An air bubble would go straight into her bloodstream and spell certain doom. So for your own personal referrance never ever take a breath off a scuba regulator if you are freedivng (holding your breath from the surface). The difference in pressure even 6 ft cold be fatal.
