Inspiron 1520, webcam slow?

very slow frame rate, any input on how to speed it up/improve the quality?

if you close and quit all the programs and applications that you aren't using it will speed up your computer because it doesnt have to work as hard.  You can also upgrade your computer or add more RAM.  Also uninstall programs that you never use.  I dont know if this will help for a webcam speed but i know it should help your overall computer speed.  Also try using different messengers which are video compatible like.... Skype, Yahoo Messenger, MSN, and AIM.  In my experience SKype is the fastest and most user fiendly .... and free
