Install Sierra Wireless 595U on Acer Aspire One...

Question

I found some instructions here:http://www.sierrawireless.com/faq/ShowFAQ.aspx?ID=607...but I'm a Linux n00b and there seem to be some missing steps. I need someone who understands Linux to help me get the steps in the right order so I can use my existing Sprint service and device with my new netbook.The netbook is running Linpus linux version 2.6.23.9lw (based on Fedora core)
