Installed Stereo in 2007 CHevy Aveo now dash lights wont work?

Question

I installed a Sony stereo in my 2007 Chevy Aveo Sedan. After hooking everything up the dash lights wont come on. Checked all the fuses non are blown, replaced the dimmer switch but it still wont come on. I had to hard wire it because previous stereo stolen and the wires where cut. I had the original stereo so I was able to match up the wires from the diagram on the stereo. Please any suggestions would be much appreciated.

buddy theres a wire that you used as a ground,but when you turn your light on ,or you have running lights,that wire gets hot,12 voits,you need to unhook that wire,need  tester,
