  1. New toilets use less water, it's a way someone thought up to save water.  Less water means less power.  Of course now you have to flush twice and use the same amount of water but some idiot got credit for inventing a water saving toilet.  You'll have to go to a salvage house and buy an older toilet that has a bigger tank.

  2. First, make sure your tank is filling itself to the proper height after flushing. This is where your force of the flush comes from.

You'll want to make sure your water shutoff valve near the base of the tank is unscrewed as far counterclockwise as possible. You'll also want to check the flapper to be sure it is staying full shut when the handle is not pressed.

If you need any further details, feel free to email me.

  3. Possible Causes:

    1. Toilet not installed properly, if not sure go ahead and call a reputable plumbing contractor to inspect or reinstall.

    2. Toilet clogged.

    3. Build up of Lime from hard water on water inlet holes under rim of bowl.

If everything is working correctly according to some of the other answers, it could be a clogged bowl and you need to use a plunger on the outlet in the bowl.  Also after bowls have been installed for a few months in hard water areas you can have the holes under the rim of the bowl clogged.  You clean them with a product called Van i sol or something similar with mild acid to open these holes.  If they are clogged the water will swirl and not go down.

  4. Before u install the new toilet, did u scrap up the wax seal and replace with a new 1?  When u put the new seal in  did u center it to be sure that the lip of the new toilet  base seated properly (centered).  Sound like something is plugged, and not draining.  (obstruction).  Are u sure ur main sewer is not clogged?  The throat of the bowl is not obstructed?  Sometimes, packaging may fall into the toilet and plug up the throat.  That has to be checked.  That's just  some options to look into...good luck and last resort, call a qualified plumber.

  5. maybe some one took a big dump and its cloging up the toilet  plunger it out
