Installed dvd vidio player to my phillips hd tv worked one time now it dosen`t communicate with the tv?

I can`t get the dvd player to cmmunicate with the tv I have followed the set up procedure and nothing happens. How do I find the right channel for the dvd to work on

You have to make sure the "Input" on the TV is set correctly (there is a different input for each component hooked up to the TV).  There should be an input button on the TV remote.  Hit that and then try the different choices.  Good luck!
