Installing Service Pack 2 for windows?

Question

I've been trying to install SP2 so i can install ITUNES 7.6, but every time i try installing it it says that "to many errors have, install failed". I was just wondering what i have to do so I can finally install it. My last resort is going out and buying Vista with no clue what i could lose when i install it.

Hi Joe

That is due to a poor link and this happens often. You should bring your computer only, to a friends hosue and download it from there. I did mine thru my office on account of the link being too poor and always dropping connection.

Joe go to start menu button click on run command. type chkdsk /f This will check your disk and repair disk errors.  This should be all you need to do.  I would also download ccleaner from cnet.com, to clean up your harddrive, also run the registry cleaner that comes with ccleaner.

Try looking in your add/remove programs and looking for microsoft updates.  Uninstall from there then go back and try to reinstall sp2.
