So i have the operating disk that i had received when i bought my laptop and i already had used the authentication key that was given to activate vista on the laptop.

Now i want to install Vista onto my home computer but i need a new authentication code. I need to know if you can use the same one you used for the laptop again or if i would need to use a Keygen. If i do need a keygen, does anyone know a good working keygen for Vista to generate valid authentication codes?

  1. Don't use a keygen, usually it will not be genuine, and yes you can use the same key with the new comp that you are installing it to.

When it ask to authenticate to make it genuine(i'm sure it will sooner or later) just use the serial number or key that is placed on the laptop.

  2. Yes, you can install on the other computer using same key without problem.

Also if you need to know the serial then you can try the following site:

    Good luck!!!
