Installing a CD player in my car but the plug in didnt match up.?

I was trying to install this used CD player I had laying around and when I pulled everything out (After asking on here and getting the answer that everything was right) the wires with the white plug in head didnt match up to the plug in spot. WTF.

check all the cables to see which one has  electricity going through it and the check for your grown and go from there

you need a adapter for your car its going in, then you hook that together and then splice all the wires together color by color

no, they shouldn't match. You need to buy an adapter. You can pick one up at wal-mart pretty cheap. Just need to know your make and model. It's a small plug that you'll wire to your head unit and then plug into the car.
