  1. Go to a car stereo installation outlet and purchase yourself a universal mounting kit and a universal wiring harness that will help you via diagrams.

Really there should be a plastic cover that snaps off your car thats covering the stereo then a few screws to remove and a couple of plugs then anttenna to pop out then attache the new universal wiring harness up to the car and stereo , hook up the wires, then install your new system with it's face bracket , mount it and snap the face plate back in.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way the kits are a real helpful and make the whole process a bit simpler too.

  2. I have a couple of  question what years is it? If it is 2001 (I believe that is when the systems started) it has a type of data read system that will allow you to see what songs are playing if you area hasn't started doing this then you would never notice it in the car. It from time to  time scroll other information also,

If that is not something that you car about then look at cructhfield if you can install it yourself, if not check out out local installation. also getting on with a detachable face plate and MP3 player accessory should be standard, ( either the jack or usb connection.)
