Installing a ceiling fan in bedroom. There is an existing switch that controls an outlet in the room .?

Can I run wire right from switch to fan. If not there's a box in the attic with 3 wires coming out of it going to various rooms can I run a fourth wire out of it to fan then a new switch or is it new switch to fan

you can run wires from the switch to the fan, or from the box to the switch to the fan

I would run the fan from the box in the attic. Many fans now come with a remote control. If your fan does not, they are cheap at home depot. With the remote control you wont need a wall switch.
