  1. it shouldbe bolted to the flywheel should not move at all fist you need to put converter in bellhousing of tranny and lift them to gether ones it is up move the converter holes to line up with the flywheel the put bolts in and tighten each one threw the inspection plate (cover) if it moves alot then your engine crank or something is bad never herd of this moving before but i no it will move around a little untill you tighten the bolts back down to flywheel if you dont install it this way you well be takin it back out again because the converter has to be on the shaft of the tranny first make sure you move it around once you install it on tranny to line up with the teeth on the sline it will feel tighter and you can turn it if you must shift the gears on trany to make sure it is on the teeth or you will have to remove it once it is installed to get it all rite we have done that before and learned from our mistakes  if your still not sure get a chiltons repair manuel will walk you threw the process

  2. there is some movemnet on the converter when you move it forward to the flex plate. it should not be alot but--some.. if you have to lift it to get the bolt holes to line up its too much. you should only have to spin it into place. besure the pilot bung is lined up before you try checking. did you replace the seal before you installed the converter.. its a good idea and its cheap.  if you have alot of movemnet o the converter --side to side and up andown, you may bave damaged the bushing in the trans.(front pump). it should not cost anything to have it checked. it only a visual inspection and at its worst maybe 10 bucks to look at the pump and shaft.  some one you know has to know a trans guy...try tht first before you find out the hard way. i could tell if i could see it but , im here and you're there.  cheaper to check now while you can. good luck

  3. make sure when you installed it that it locked in? like a click and another click ans it moves further into the trans?

Is it the correct converter for the application?
