Installing a program in Linux?

Hi um... I kind of don't know how to use Linux and I'm trying to install Google Earth on my computer. I found this site:

I've already downloaded the correct .bin file. I don't know how to do number 3 of the instructions. The .bin file is still in my desktop, so can anyone give me the exact command to put in? Thankyou so much!

  1. I believe it wants you to open a terminal, make the working directory where the file is, the desktop in this case,

    >cd /home/username/desktop

    >sh GoogleEarthLinux.bin
