well, i have a stock deck for right now and need to know something, with all the cables leading into the back of my deck, will any of the blue wires work for attaching my remote turn on lead? i was just going to splice a wire and use that, since i dont have a designated wire for turn on lead.

so will any blue wire work for my turn on lead?

if it helps. i have a 1998 pathfinder SE with bose system

  1. The best thing you can do is get a meter and find a 12v turn on thats on only when you turn the car on.  Any one will work dont just look for a color wire because that doesnt always work and i had to learn from experience.  So get a meter and start testing to see which wires give off 12v when the car turns on and 0 when its off... GOOD LUCK!!

  2. typically the remote turn on lead is not blue on  a cars factory harness. does your cigarette lighter turn on only when the car is on? that might be a good spot to get ignition. other than that you will need to get a test light and start probing wires and turn the key on and off untill you find a wire that works

  3. I dont know bout the pathfinder but

MOST cars the blue wire is the power antenna lead

which is perfect for remote turn on

but check make sure that is what the blue wire is

Hate to see you drain your battery on my bad advise

    good luck

  4. you could probably wire it into and power source that is only on when the key is on...just be sure that what you are splicing it into has enough power and no to much power to run your amp...

  5. I dug up a color code chart here. http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/Toyot...

It looks like the blue wire is the left front speaker negative.

The Blue w/ yellow is the constant 12 volt.

Your best bet is the Grey wire. That is the 12 volt ignition wire.

    Hope this helps you out.
