Installing car cd player?

when installing a car cd player should the coloured wires from the cd player match the colour of the wires in the car. it and toyota 1991 carolla

I would agree with bchaller. Just go to autozone or even use the internet buy the stereo wiring harness for your car and just solder the wires from the radio to you car harness it will be a lot easier then having to do it in the car, and if you dont know how to solder just use black electrical tape or heat shrink tubing. Here is a website where you can buy the wiring harness from. If not just go to autozone it is cheaper then pep boys but the internet will be the cheapest.

sometimes they do not match so buy an addaptor which tells you what wire goes where

They will not match. But you can get a harness off ebay.
