I have been in the process of remodeling my bathroom. I put ceramic tile in my tub area. I purchased a plastic like molding so when I am going from the shower area to the wall beyond that I have about a 1/4 inch gap. Is there anyway around this other than just caulking that gap?

  1. Slide a 1/4X 1 1/2 inch flat wood stock or plastic in the gap and caulk it.

  2. If it is not in a area that is yelling at you "look what this dumbo did" just caulk it.  If your bathroom is going to have it in the morning paper be creative.  Carve a mathching piece that will sliver in with caulk.  Smooth over the caulk on both ends and sand after drying if needed.  Or be the home designer you are and find something else that will fit and glue in there that says, "I meant to do it."  Rhinestones, birthday candle, anything...be the creator...Diane

  3. you can either slide a piece of wood in and caulk it, or grout it and  caulk after you grout

Or you can use bondo to fill the gap then it becomes solid and paintable without the possible undesired movement of a free floating board

  4. 1/4 inch is not the much   i would just grout it
