Installing earthen floors?

Question

Can earthen floors be installed in a house that sits off the ground on cinder blocks and has particleboard subfloors? Can an earthen mixture be poured over the subfloors?

I see that in all the instructions I have found, they assume you are starting from the ground up. I was considering earthen floors as a possibility, but am unsure if the weight would be too great, or if for some other reason it would be unwise to install one in this type house.

Do as the instructions  say.. Never on a particle board floor.

Then make sure that it complies with local bylaws etc.

In NZ they will never be accepted if  I am right about your location
