  1. If you purchase a USB eithernet adapter, you can do it easily and not even have to open the case on the PC.

  2. My dear..don't say ethernet port but say NIC Card or Network card or ethernet card. Purchase it and open the case from the left side of the cabinet. Now You would find pci slots located to the lower left corner. In that slots you just match the grips of the slots with your card and insert it easily with the port of the nic card outside. Be calm while doing this and don't apply more pressure while inserting it. When inserted just cover the case and tighten the s***w of the case. Now start windows and you wud find popup message saying "Found new hardware". Insert the CD or Floppy that came along with that nic card and select the proper drivers from cd or floppy..or else there would be setup file in the cd / floppy. Good luck.

Go for this site for more details.

  3. Its not that hard..

If you get a ethernet card then you have to open the cabinet and then insert the card and install the drivers.

    That shouldnt be too hard....

or a simpler way would be is to buy one ethernet 2 USB converter... so that you can u can have a LAN connection using the USB port on your computer, and they are not that expensive as well...
